Work Experience:
An officer with 33 years of experience in Customs, Excise, VAT, and Administration.
He has received extensive training at home and abroad, and regularly serves as a trainer on VAT and Customs at various training institutions including NBR, FIMA, ICAB, ICMAB, DBI, CAPE, and BTTI.
Mr. Fakhrul Alam has worked closely with USAID, the World Bank, and ADB, and has contributed to the implementation of reform initiatives such as the Bangladesh Single Window, Post Clearance Audit (PCA), Authorized Economic Operator, and Advance Ruling.
He received the WCO Certificate of Merit in 2017, and in 2018 and 2021 he was honored by IFC and the World Bank Group for his special contributions to customs modernization and trade facilitation.
